Lack of Drive Among Singapore Students

By Aditya on February 4, 2012

Singapore’s Education Minister (forgot his name, add later) has openly claimed that a lack of drive in Singaporean students is worrying. He further added how students are generally not confident to venture out of their comfort zone. He made that statements after having discussion(s) with employers and CEOs and I presume some other big shots.

Seriously?! Continue reading “Lack of Drive Among Singapore Students”

Why there will be no flash on iPhone or iPod or iPad

By Aditya on February 4, 2012

I have heard many of my friends trying to share their opinions (or opinions of their friends’s friends) on why Apple will never add Flash to their iOS products. Most of them are interestingly non technical people (read: “business/managerial/etc”) whom I am sure formed their opinion after reading or listening to hearsay here and there. Analyzing Ghost Photo

By Aditya on October 19, 2010

Everytime I see major newspaper publishing pictures about ghosts without even do any testing or whatsoever. The latest photos I got are from Kompas newspaper, which republished a story about ghost sighting in some part of Indonesia (see the screenshot here) is one of those instances. So being rather free, here is my analysis about the photo and eventual conclusion that is obvious for many of you: “Fake photo”

Taiwan vs. Indomie Drama

By Aditya on October 13, 2010

You know that something big is currently happening when your friends start conversing about obscure chemical compound called Methyl P-Hydroxybenzoate on facebook wall. Seriously, Facebook is not intended for something that intelligent.

Indonesia’s TNI Website Got Hacked

By Aditya on June 18, 2010

Nothing really serious since not many people actually visit this site that often according to Alexa http://bit.ly/aRqJnU. This is one example of the simplest form of hacking : defacing, stuff that can be prevented if you design your site carefully.

I bet this is not the first time (citation required). And really, unless you read those announcement carefully, anyone can dismiss it for anything. (as seen on Friday June 18 2357 PM EST)

PWND

While I sincerely believe those ‘Albanians’ got nothing better to do and have no (real) harm intent, I am wondering if TNI got budget to hire people to somewhat better their IT systems – unemployed IT guy like me :p

Oh well… back to work as student

Steam Password Recovery is a b*tch

By Aditya on May 21, 2010

Really … if I know ‘What did customer support last reset your passphrase to?’, I bet I would not even bother asking for my password.

I need to know the 'passphrase'... wth

Not because…

By Aditya on May 17, 2010

I am unhappy.

Not because it is too easy.

Who does not like easy stuff?

Not because it is too hard.

I do not avoid hard work… I love hard work.

I am unhappy because it is useless

"It’s xzy Baby"

By Aditya on March 13, 2010

Have been wandering into several cities over years of my life, I could go into lengthy ,but socially unfavorable, debate on “city X is not bad, its just different” statement. Indeed some cities are poised to be better in certain aspect than the others or more attractive to … (vain/busy/active/others) people like me.

Proper Visit to SF

By Aditya on March 6, 2010

After almost a year longing for a proper visit to the probably the most hip city of the west coast, here I am at San Fransisco with a bunch of my CMU (and somewhat related to CMU) friends. The city in short is wayyy better than Pittsburgh in any sense.  Continue reading “Proper Visit to SF”
